1. How to Download UEC from Hightail.com
When you purchase UEC, you will be given a download link to a zipped installation file hosted on hightail.com service. This video shows how to download UEC installation files from the hightail.com service.
2. How to Install and Activate Ultimate Ebook Creator
The first time you run UEC, you will be asked to activate your product using the activation code that will be emailed to you. This code is usually the ClickBank Receipt number or the Amazon Order Number if you bought the UEC DVD from Aamzon. This video will show you how to install and activate UEC on your computer.
3. How to Install Amazon's KindleGen EXE Tool
The KindleGen EXE is a command line tool that generates a MOBI file. I can no longer bundle this tool with UEC because Amazon KDP changed their terms and conditions, so now you need to download and install this tool by yourself. Do not worry this is very siple to do and this video will show you how. Please note you will only need to do this once.

7. Understanding How eBooks Work
All eBook devices, whether it's Kindle, iPad, Android, Kobo, Sony reader or whatever, work the same as a browser. That is they flow the text. This means there is no concept of a fixed page size. The logical page is determined by the device settings of font, font size and more. This video also explains all this and also why you should never rely on software previewers to test the final eBook format.
8. How to Work in Offline Mode
Sometimes if you are travelling and do not have internet connection, then do not worry as UEC allows you to work in offline mode. Only the full version supports this feature (not the trial version). In offline mode, you have access to all the features of UEC except the export features which means you will not be able to generate any of the output files such as MOBI and EPUB.

30. How to Validate EPUB formatted files
This video shows you how validate your EPUB file with the official EPUB organization web site (https://validator.idpf.org/). You should always make sure you validate your EPUB files before attempting to upload to any publishing platforms. In my experience if you have ANY errors in your EPUB file and you upload to Smashwords or LULU, you will get some very strange error messages back that will have you scratching your head for hours. SO make sure you validate first!

44. Auto Save & Backup Projects
I was not really going to build this feature because I feel that everyone should already adopt the habit of backing up thier projects and files. In reallity many people do not until it's too late and then I get these support tickets asking me for help. Unfortunately if a file is over wrtten - it's GONE! Anyway, I caved in and created the auto backup feature so now noone should have the excuse. As you'll see in this, I've given you some great options.
